Channel 4 Racing’s Jim McGrath visited the winner’s enclosure at Newmarket for the first time today when his three-year-old Sir Reginald won the £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3YO Sprint, the sixth race of the Tattersalls Millions sales race series.

Sir Reginald has previously run in the £200,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Auction Trophy when he finished second to 1,000 Guineas contender I Love Me, and then ran again in the most valuable race of the series, the £500,000 Tatteralls 2YO Trophy.

Richard Fahey commented afterwards, “We’ve had three goes at the big prize pot on offer in the Tattersalls Millions and it’s nice to get one in the end, Jim wins £83,000 today. The going definitely helped for this horse. This has been the target for a long time - it was his Derby.

Madany finished second with Khor Sheed in third.
The seventh race of the series takes place at Newmarket tomorrow, the £250,000 Tattersalls 3YOTrophy, for which there are 14 confirmed runners, including Together, Janood and Date With Destiny.
